Down Syndrome is not a disorder
Firstly, Down Syndrome is not a disease as many people call it, but a chromosome disorder, in other words meaning that they have simply one more chromosome.
Often these children or people find themselves prejudiced and excluded from society. That is the reason why I started this campaign.
Can you imagine how difficult it is for a person with Down Syndrome to deal with such people who prejudice them?
Can imagine just for a moment to endure the contempt and the bullies about the simple fact that you have Down Syndrome?
I want to raise my voice about this great and significant cause. No one has the right to bully you, for any reason. You are just like everybody else, you have your rights, you are unique, and you have
the right to live your life, to develop and achieve all your dreams.
This extra chromosome indeed causes some delays in physical and mental development, but it is also true that with the right therapeutic care these children can have an independent life.
Through this campaign, I want everyone to understand that our behavior has an impact on their lives, making them feel accepted helps them in their further development. This campaign wants to help every person with Down Syndrome to show their potential, talents, and abilities.
They give and receive unconditional love. They bring so much happiness. But if you prejudice them, you will never know. I want everybody to understand that loving, accepting and making them feel equal is very important. Love has no boundaries. We can change many things together. We all can make the world a better place for them.
Support people with Down Syndrome. They really need it. Make the world a better place.
