Wheatfield Photos in Frankfurt
Wheat symbolizes abundance and life, the cycle of life and the seasons. Wheat is a grass cultivated and grown all around the world but this time for the photoshoot I chose Frankfurt am Main wheatfield.

Planted in the spring and harvested in late summer or early fall, because of that we chose to do this photoshoot in summer. Growing between 60 and 120 centimeters tall the wheat plant would make this photoshoot unique and interesting.

Wheatfields inspiring Vincent Van Gogh
The famous Dutch painter, Vincent van Gogh created The Wheat Fields which is a series of paintings. His religious studies and his love for nature inspired him.

Through these paintings, Vincent van Gogh wanted to express his spiritual beliefs, appreciation for laborers and the connection he had with nature. He used contrasting colors like lime green,
silver, yellow and gold to reflect the four seasons.

But wheat fields were an inspiration for me too. A photoshoot that for me as a photographer is of particular importance because it is realized in an inspiring background. Sometimes my muse is nature, making me more creative and motivated to do such extraordinary work as this one. As I mentioned before in this photoshoot we were in Frankfurt, Germany.
Firstly, let’s talk about the season I captured these photos. All outdoor photoshoots have limited time. Summer was the right season for this wheat field photoshoot.
Beige and gold colors of the wheat give fantastic images, being the colors of the Earth itself. Doing this photoshoot during sunset was a great idea with the sunlight slowly fading over the horizon.
It was like gathering all the meaningful parts of life; earth, nature, plants, sunlight and the magical sunset in a single photo. Even van Gogh would be envious of this photoshoot. Golden hour in wheatfield Frankfurt is always a good idea combined with Earth tones.
Wheatfield nature in Frankfurt never goes out of style
The model is german. I chose a blonde model so everything could be perfect and in harmony with the background. A Russian make up artist based in Germany took care of her look and she came up with the idea of a natural makeup that matches the setting. Pronovias designed her mermaid wedding dress. Mermaid tail wedding dresses are sophisticated designs that made our model look graceful.
Embroided and flaring out below the knees, the model was feeling stylish and sensual. The red hat was another special detail. I chose to alternate the red hat with the background and the wedding dress for contrast. Wheat, the symbol of abundance and a woman among them, lying on the field gives this photo a meaning. It was the second time I have worked with this model and it was a great editorial.
