What Is a First Look?
As a wedding photographer for more than a decade now, there are a few things that always look and feel special and one of them is the first look. But what is a first look? It’s the moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time on the wedding day. It all happens before the wedding ceremony. It’s an intimate, special, and private moment for the couple. It doesn’t happen at every wedding, some couples choose to have this moment, and some do not. And the ones that choose to have this special moment, obviously they want their “The First Look Photos”. What I love about these photos is that they convey strong and beautiful emotions.
Why You Should Take The First Look Photos?
There are a few reasons why it’s better to have this special moment on your wedding day. The first look when you see each other for the first time will help you with every emotion that you may have that day. And they will be gone when the wedding starts. During the wedding day, this will be the only moment that you two will have privacy and be with each other alone. Another good reason is you can have as many pictures as you like with your partner and enjoy every moment with them. The first look is the perfect moment to share all the emotions you have without everybody looking at you.
Tips for First Look Photos
Even though this will be a special moment for the bride and groom there are a few tips by me.
-Don’t make this moment feel rushed. Give the first look 30 minutes so you can have time to share all your emotions and take a few pictures.
-As I said before, this is the only time for privacy for the bride and groom so plan it so it can be only you and your partner.
-It’s really beautiful and emotional when couples give each other small notes to read.
-Choose a location that gives you peace and relaxation so you can enjoy this moment.
It doesn’t matter if you are having a small, big, traditional, or modern wedding. The first look will always be something different and special on this big day.
