3 Questions that you shouldn’t ask your wedding photographer

I have been doing this job for more than 10 years now, and I know couples want everything to be perfect. Planning a wedding can be challenging and also stressful. So I do understand the brides and grooms when they ask me questions that a wedding photographer doesn’t like. Choosing a wedding photographer, it means that you are choosing someone you trust and also like their work. Also, when you work with a professional wedding photographer, it would be best to let them do their job the best way possible. So here is a list of a few questions that you shouldn’t ask your wedding photographer.

1. Can we have all the photos, also the unedited photos?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions and believes me I get it, you don’t want a miss a single thing from your wedding and that is why you want all the photos. But, it is also important for the bride and groom to know that being a professional wedding photographer means that I’m not holding back anything from you. As a wedding photographer, I spend a lot of time making sure that the bride and groom will have the perfect photos. spend a great deal of time making sure they’re delivering a perfect finished product.  The first thing wedding photographers do after finishing an event is to upload the photos and going through the images and deciding which ones to edit. I will make sure that every beautiful image will be edited in the most perfect way. Remember to trust your wedding photographer.

2. Can you Photoshop a specific thing? – Questions that you shouldn’t ask your wedding photographer

My main goal is that the bride and groom receive beautiful photos. And obviously I use Photoshop to edit photos and remove objects or blemishes, but I don’t use it to change the way someone looks. It is my job as a wedding photographer to capture you just the way you are. But I can’t make you someone that you are not. The most important thing for a couple is to enjoy their wedding day and be happy. This way you will look more than beautiful in your wedding pictures.

3. Can we recreate these photos I saw? / I want a photo like this one I saw.

It’s understandable that you will get inspired somewhere for your wedding photos. I also appreciate couples that know what they like but there is something wrong about this question. The photos that you see and like are just an inspiration, we can’t copy them. I am an artist, and I have my own style and technique. So I want to capture some unique and special photos, not just a copy.

These are some of the questions that you shouldn’t ask your wedding photographer. It’s okay to have ideas and share with your wedding photographer what you like and what you don’t. I love capturing photos and this is something I will do for the rest of my life. And I also love meeting new couples and documenting their love story.
